4 Tips to Wash Your Vehicle

There is no right way to wash your vehicle. If you are happy with the results you are getting from a detailer or a car wash then it works for you.

Washing your car is a common task you should do so you can maintain your vehicle’s appearance. Having your vehicle cleaned on a regular bases rather than inconstant can be harder because the more you wait to clean your vehicle the more energy is going to used to clean your car.

Depending on the condition of the vehicle is how careful you want to be when it comes to cleaning your vehicle. If you recently did a paint correction, you would want to care of reducing the amount of swirls and scratches to be introduce to the surface of your paint.

Below are listed the tips when it comes to washing your vehicle. And also the process of our Wash and Wax and Premium Wash.

  1. Start with your wheels

Your wheels is where most of the dirt is introduce because the wheels are always on the pavement and the dirty streets, construction dirt etc…

You do not want to clean your vehicle first because if you do all the dirt you are cleaning from your wheel is going to sling into your paint and thats double work.

  2. Use the two-bucket method

Why two buckets? One is going to be used for rinse water and the other will have your soapy water. You will do one panel at a time or once the wash mitt gets too dirty then rinse it on the rinse bucket. Then dump it in the soapy water again so you can get that lubricant.

You will want to keep doing this process so you can reduce the amount of dirt on the paint which can potently scratch your paint.

  3. Start from top to bottom

This will save you lots of energy and time because if you start from the bottom to the top then whatever is in your roof will just come down to the clean surfaces that you just cleaned.

Don’t overwork yourself and start at top to bottom.

  4. Using Premium quality towels.

When it comes to drying your vehicle or having to apply wax by hand, use premium quality towels.

No I am not taking about your local microfiber towels that you get from big retail stores or the auto part stores. These towels are made from cheap quality rather than higher quality of a towel.

To reduce the amount of scratches and swirls that can be damage due to the cheap quality towels. Get some Premium quality towels such as Adam’s, Chemical Guys, AutoGeek and other big detailing companies to get better results.

    Bonus Tip

Adding protection to your vehicle. Now your vehicle is all cleaned up and now you would want to protect it with some spray wax or sealant. If you want more of a durable protection you can go with a ceramic coating but it does take some time to apply and its recommended that you do a paint correction.
